ICC Elevator Speed?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near the International Commerce Centre (ICC). Heard the elevators are ridiculously fast. Anyone know the exact speed? Seriously considering a timed r… more

No idea about the exact speed, but yeah, those ICC elevators are blazing. I remember feeling that stomach-drop sensation, like a mild rollercoaster. More of a whoosh than a drop, if that makes sense. Definitely faster than your average lift. Enjoy the view – worth the climb (or rather, the near-instant ascent)! And don't worry, they're pretty darn safe. They're not gonna spontaneously combust or anything. Probably.

Yeah, the MacLehose Trail is awesome but it definitely doesn't show you everything. Sai Kung's got a ton of little beaches tucked away. Finding them is half the fun, honestly! Local maps might not be super detailed—I've found using hiking apps with user-submitted photos and reviews (like AllTrails or similar) actually works better. People often post pics of less-known spots. Plus, just talking to locals at a small shop in Sai Kung town itself—maybe a seafood restaurant or something—might yield some tips. They’ll know the best spots. Good luck with your next adventure!

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about using hiking apps to find those hidden coves. I'll definitely check out AllTrails. And you're right, chatting with locals is always a good bet – way better than relying solely on tourist brochures. Thanks for the tips!
