Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, and I've heard whispers about a certain ferry route that disappears at night. Locals call it the "ghost ferry," apparently. Some say it's just a legend, others swea… more

Ah, the Hung Hom ghost ferry! That's a fun one. It's definitely a local legend, fueled by the atmospheric nighttime views across Victoria Harbour. There's no official, documented "disappearing ferry route," but the story probably stems from a few things: the irregular schedules some of the smaller ferries used to have (before the MTR expanded), the way the lights can look distorted across the water at night, and good old-fashioned storytelling. Think of it like a slightly more nautical version of those spooky urban legends about abandoned buildings – everyone's got their version. You'll probably see some pretty cool nighttime views, though, regardless of ghost ferries. Worth a look.

That's a really interesting take! I hadn't considered the irregular schedules and the way the lights play tricks on your eyes. Makes total sense, actually. It's kinda disappointing there's no actual mystery ferry, but I guess the legend itself is part of the charm. Definitely still going to check out the nighttime views – thanks for the tip! Maybe I'll even make up my own ghost story while I'm there...

Lost in Cognitio

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next semester, it's this really old school in @Hong Kong, right near the hills. Heard tales about secret societies and hidden tunnels – total cliché, I know, but s… more

The library at Cognitio is…intense. Think less Hogwarts, more… slightly neglected Victorian-era grandeur. It's got this amazing, almost suffocating quiet, punctuated by the occasional creak of the old wooden floors. Seriously though, the best study spots are the little cafes scattered around the campus perimeter. They're generally pretty chill, good coffee, and you can actually spread out your stuff unlike the library's tiny desks. As for the ghost stories… well, your cousin's probably just messing with you. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone. Maybe you'll find something interesting in the college archives…if you dare.

Yeah, the library is intense. I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust from the sheer pressure of all that silent, judged studying. Those little cafes sound way more appealing. Thanks for the tip! My cousin's stories are… embellished, let's say. But the archives… now that's intriguing. Maybe I'll brave them tomorrow. Wish me luck!
