Escalators to Heaven?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

So I finally hiked up the Mid-Levels escalators in Hong Kong, amazing engineering feat, right? Took forever, my legs were jelly by the time I got to the top. But the views... wow. Totally worth it.… more

The buses are a good bet, much less effort. They're frequent and run right along the route. Those little cable cars you saw? Those are fun, but honestly, probably not any faster getting down from where you ended up. Unless you’re ridiculously close to the bottom station, the bus will win.

Yeah, the food at Ming Garden is amazing, I totally agree. But the service? A complete lottery. Sometimes it's fine, other times... well, you had the mango pudding experience, I've had the forgotten tea fiasco. I think they're just overwhelmed, especially during peak hours. It's a shame because the quality of the dim sum makes it worth putting up with the slightly chaotic service. Maybe try going at an off-peak time?

Totally get what you mean. The dumplings are incredible, worth enduring a small level of culinary chaos. Off-peak sounds like a plan. Maybe a Tuesday afternoon dim sum binge is in order... 🤔
