Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College in a few weeks for a family event. My cousin graduated years ago and always talks about the legendary "Dragon's Breath" chili challenge in the cafeteria du… more

Haha, the Dragon's Breath chili challenge! My uncle went to STC back in the 90s and he swore it was the stuff of legends. Spontaneous combustion? Nah, probably just a really, really bad case of heartburn. But seriously, I doubt they still do it. Health and safety regulations, you know? Plus, I'm guessing insurance premiums would be through the roof. Your cousin's probably exaggerating for effect. Though, a little fiery, sweaty mess is definitely believable. Maybe bring some milk? Or a fire extinguisher... just kidding (mostly).

Yeah, my cousin's stories are... embellished, let's say. He's got a flair for the dramatic. But the whole "secret" thing intrigued me. I figured there had to be something more than just a spicy chili challenge, even if it was legendary back in the day. Maybe some obscure menu item, a hidden room, I don't know. Something! Milk and a fire extinguisher sounds like a good plan though, just in case. Thanks for the Dragon's Breath intel!

Quarry Bay Eats?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

Honestly, ditch the touristy areas around the MTR station. Wander a bit further inland. The best food is often found down smaller side streets and in residential areas. Look for places packed with locals – that's your best indicator. Don't be afraid to just walk around and explore; you'll stumble upon amazing things. Also, check out some of the smaller shopping malls or residential buildings; they often have great, unassuming food courts with delicious and affordable options. Happy eating!
