Check out the dai pai dongs near the Quarry Bay MTR station. They're not exactly hidden, but they're definitely frequented by locals and offer a super authentic Hong Kong lunch experience. You’ll find some great noodle places and rice plates there—much tastier and cheaper than anything fancier. Avoid the ones that look too spick and span; the slightly rough-around-the-edges ones are usually the best. You’ll get proper Hong Kong vibes for sure. Alternatively, wander down towards the waterfront – there are often little food stalls popping up with all sorts of goodies. Good luck!
