That's fascinating! I hadn't considered the family/clan angle. I figured it was something more... obscure, maybe a secret society thing or something. Haha, a bit dramatic, I know. The Hong Kong Heritage Museum is a great suggestion; I'll definitely check them out. Thanks for the tips! The owner/management route feels a little... daunting, but hey, worth a shot if the museum comes up empty. This is way more interesting than I thought it would be!
