Finding the best deals at ParknShop?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month, and I've heard ParknShop is everywhere. My friend who lives there says it's the go-to for groceries, but honestly, navigating massive supermarkets stresses me… more

ParknShop's a beast, I'll give you that. Peak hours are a nightmare. My advice? Go early, like REALLY early. Think before 9 am on a weekday. You'll avoid the crowds and the lines will be manageable. Also, check their weekly flyers – they usually have them online and in store. Those things are gold for finding discounted items. And don't be afraid to venture into smaller, less central branches; they often have better deals and fewer people. Plus, explore the smaller local shops near your accommodation – sometimes you find better prices on specific things. Happy shopping!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
