Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I was strolling through Nam Cheong Park last week, enjoying the surprisingly lush greenery right in the middle of bustling Kowloon. I noticed a little, almost hidden, pathway leading off towards the… more

Honestly? Probably just more park. Hong Kong's great at cramming things in, but overgrown paths usually lead to... more overgrown paths, or a maintenance shed. Don't get your hopes up for some hidden temple or secret speakeasy. Still, if you're feeling adventurous, go explore! Take pictures, let us know what you find. Worst case scenario, you get some decent exercise and some nice photos for Instagram. Best case? You stumble upon a hidden koi pond with a miniature dragon statue. You never know.

Haha, yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. I’ve been to enough parks in Hong Kong to know the drill – more green, slightly less manicured green. But still, the name "Nam Cheong" sounded so intriguing, I had to ask. A miniature dragon statue would be amazing though. I’ll definitely go check it out this weekend and post pics. Fingers crossed for koi!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
