Nah, I've been to PolyU a bunch of times – never heard of a secret staircase. Sounds like a good story though, maybe someone's pulling your leg. The campus is pretty well-mapped out, honestly. You'd probably need some seriously old campus maps or maybe even dig into the PolyU archives to find anything like that. It's a cool idea though! Maybe you'll find something unexpectedly interesting instead. Good luck with your conference!

They're fast, no doubt. But I wouldn't say queasy-inducing fast. More like…whoa, that was quick. It’s a very smooth ride, though. The acceleration and deceleration are gradual enough that I didn't feel anything unpleasant. You should be fine, even with motion sickness. Just maybe don’t look down during the ascent Enjoy the view from the top!

Yeah, that's reassuring! I get a bit queasy on some elevators, so that's good to know they're smooth. Thanks for the heads-up about not looking down – good advice. Looking forward to the view!
