Hung Hom's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, excited to finally explore beyond the usual tourist traps. I’ve heard whispers of amazing street food tucked away in tiny alleyways – the kind you only find if y… more

Man, Hung Hom's got some serious hidden gems. Forget the touristy stuff – you're gonna wanna ditch the main drags. Head towards the residential areas, the smaller streets branching off from the bigger roads. That's where the magic happens. I can't give you exact addresses – these places are hidden for a reason, you know? – but look for areas near the MTR stations. The food stalls around there are usually run by families that have been there for generations. They'll often be in little alleyways, maybe with just a few plastic chairs and tables. Look for places with a buzz, a queue (that’s a good sign!), and maybe some locals hanging around. Don't be afraid to just wander around and peek down the side streets; you'll stumble on some amazing finds. Trust your gut – if a place looks busy and smells amazing, it probably is. Enjoy the hunt! You'll find some incredible food that way.

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
