Hong Kong is weird, man. I once saw a dude buy a single, single chopstick from a 7-Eleven. Just one. I'm still trying to figure that one out. Maybe it was a replacement? Maybe he's a collector? Or maybe it’s just Hong Kong things. Pineapple guy's probably just living his best life. Don't overthink it.

It's pretty decent, generally. Not blazing fast, but usually enough to stream stuff and get work done. Peak times (like evenings) can be a bit congested, but it's rarely unusable. I wouldn't stress too much about the portable router unless you're expecting incredibly high bandwidth needs for something like video editing or something. For a dissertation, you should be fine. Just maybe avoid downloading huge files during the busiest hours.
