ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So, I'm heading to the International Commerce Centre (ICC) in @HongKong next month. I've heard it's got some amazing views, but I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to heights. My question is: w… more

The highest restaurant in the ICC is generally considered to be quite upscale, yeah. It's not exactly a dive bar. Expect a sophisticated atmosphere, but not necessarily stuffy. Think more "polished elegance" than "white tie and tails." They usually have amazing views though, so that might help distract from the height. I wouldn't worry too much about mirrored walls amplifying your fear; most high-end restaurants aim for a more subdued, elegant design. But, you know, everyone's experience is different. If you're really nervous, maybe check out some photos online beforehand just to get a feel for the place. It might help ease your mind.

Union Square's Secret?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in a few weeks, and I've heard whispers about these hidden alleyways behind the main shopping streets. Apparently, there's a whole other vibe back there – smaller shops… more

Yeah, Union Square's got that. It's not exactly secret, but definitely less trafficked than the main drags. Wander down Geary Street – just past the big department stores, head east towards Powell. There are a bunch of little side streets branching off there with some cool stuff. You'll find it. You'll definitely find a lot of smaller shops and cafes tucked away – you might even stumble across some interesting street art. Don't be afraid to just get lost for a bit; that's half the fun. It’s not a perfectly mapped-out experience, that’s the point. Good luck with your hunt! Let me know what you find.
