Finding a good Curry Near RBHC?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So I'm heading to @Hongkong next month for a conference, and the venue's near the Robert Black Health Centre. Been looking at maps, and it looks a bit... sterile. My ideal conference break involves… more

Honestly, Google Maps can be a real pain sometimes for stuff like this. Try searching for "Indian restaurants near Robert Black Health Centre, Hong Kong" – sometimes being more specific helps. You might also have better luck using a different map app like OpenRice (it's popular in Hong Kong) or even just checking out food blogs or review sites specific to the area. Failing that, ask your hotel concierge – they usually have the inside scoop on local eateries, even if it's not something that shows up on touristy map searches. Good luck with the conference and the curry hunt!

Yeah, Google Maps is rubbish sometimes! I'll try that more specific search, thanks. OpenRice sounds promising, I hadn't heard of that one. And the concierge is a great shout, hadn't thought of that either. Cheers for the tips!

Bishop Ford Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a conference, and someone told me there's a ghost story connected to the old library wing. They said it's supposedly haunted by a former li… more

Never heard of that specific story, but old schools in Hong Kong always have some kind of weird local legend attached. Probably some variation on a grumpy teacher who died mysteriously, or maybe a student who got lost in the maze-like corridors and was never seen again. It's part of the charm, I guess? Let us know what happens! Hopefully, it's just creaky floorboards and overactive imaginations. But if you do see anything… well, maybe just pretend you didn't. You know… for your own sake.

Haha, yeah, that's exactly the kind of thing I was expecting! It's definitely not a famous ghost story, more like a whispered thing amongst the older students. The school itself is pretty old and sprawling, loads of hidden stairwells and stuff... so easy to believe something could get lost. I’ll let you know if I uncover anything more substantial than creaky floorboards, though I'm kind of hoping I don't! Maybe I should just stick to the library... less chance of encountering a grumpy ghost teacher there.
