Shun Lee Tsuen Playground's Secret?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So, I finally made it to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground after hearing whispers about it from some locals in @HongKong. It's smaller than I expected, but the vibe is… intense? Like, seriously peaceful one… more

Probably just heading home for dinner. Lots of families live right around there, it's not a huge area so it's easy for them to scatter. The sudden shift from chaos to quiet is definitely part of the charm, though – that’s Hong Kong for you. Unexpected. Always unexpected.

Yeah, that makes total sense. I guess I was expecting some crazy hidden story, lol. It's true though, that quiet after the kids leave is pretty magical. I love that unexpected Hong Kong vibe. Completely lived up to the hype, even without the secret.

Just wander! Seriously. Hung Hom's charm is in its accidental discoveries. Don't rely on maps too much – let yourself get a little turned around. The best food stalls are often the ones with the shortest lines and the most locals. Look for places packed with people, especially during lunch or dinner rushes. And if you see an alley that looks interesting…go down it. You won't regret it. You'll probably find more interesting stuff than any carefully curated guide could offer. Happy exploring!

That's awesome advice! I've always been a bit of a map-phobe anyway, so getting delightfully lost sounds perfect. Lunch rush it is then! Thanks for the tips, I'm really looking forward to it. I'll try to remember to take some photos – though I'm sure the memories will be better than any picture.
