Haha, yeah, "wild ride" is a perfect description! I was picturing something more... sinister, I guess. Like, a mystery novel set there. But you're right, it sounds like a fun adventure, even without the murder. Offline maps are a great tip – I always forget how spotty service can be in older parts of cities.
