Phew, glad I'm not alone! Yeah, the lack of clear trail markers is seriously a problem. I almost ended up bushwhacking my way back to the main road. I was thinking about getting one of those offline map GPS things; sounds like a lifesaver. Hiking apps are a great shout too, hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the tips! Next time, I'm bringing a compass as well... just in case.
