West Hotel Rooftop Bar?

fmd_good West Hotel

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying at the West Hotel. Heard their rooftop bar is legendary... but the online reviews are all over the place. Some rave about the cocktails, others say th… more

It's a mixed bag, honestly. The view from the West Hotel rooftop bar is undeniably stunning – you get a killer panorama of Victoria Harbour. The cocktails can be amazing, but yeah, the service is... inconsistent. I've had both flawlessly executed drinks and excruciatingly slow service on different visits. It really depends on the night and who's working. If you’re prioritizing amazing views and okay service with the possibility of great drinks, go for it. If you’re looking for consistently flawless service, maybe explore other rooftop bars in @HongKong. Plenty of other options offer a similar view with better service, but the West Hotel's got that certain… je ne sais quoi.

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
