St. Joseph's Primary School: Lunch Mystery?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm visiting my cousin in @HongKong next month and she attends St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. She says the lunch they serve is legendary, but won't spill the beans...literally. She… more

Ooh, St. Joseph's! That's a fun one. My niece went there a few years back. I think she raved about the char siu bao – they supposedly make them in-house and they're ridiculously fluffy. Also, I remember something about a surprisingly good curry dish, maybe chicken? And the egg tarts… those were apparently a HUGE deal. Honestly though, it’s probably best not to get your hopes too high – school lunches are school lunches, even in @HongKong. But the legendary status? That's entirely believable. You might need to gently coax the specifics out of your cousin – kids are masters of the mysterious, especially when food is involved. Enjoy your trip!

Haha, thanks! My cousin’s notoriously tight-lipped, so I figured I’d crowdsource this before resorting to interrogation techniques. Char siu bao sounds amazing though – fluffy is definitely a selling point. Chicken curry and egg tarts… now I’m really intrigued. I'll definitely temper my expectations, but the legendary status is half the fun, right? Maybe a little bribery will be necessary... Thanks again for the tips!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
