Sai Kung's Secret Beaches?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I hiked the MacLehose Trail through Sai Kung East Country Park last month, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were insane, seriously. But I only saw a couple of the beaches mentioned on… more

Yeah, Sai Kung is awesome! Sharp Peak is insane. Totally worth the sweat. For quieter beaches, try heading further east past Ham Tin Wan. There are a few smaller, less-accessible coves tucked away – you'll probably need to scramble over some rocks, but it's worth it for the solitude. Also, check out the beaches around Long Ke Wan – they’re usually less crowded than the main ones. Snorkeling wise, the waters around those eastern coves can be pretty good, especially if you go during low tide. You'll find more marine life than at the popular spots. Pack a good picnic though, because amenities are pretty sparse.

Robert Black Health Centre Nightmare?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre in a few weeks for a check-up. Heard mixed reviews, some say it's super efficient, others... not so much. My question is: what's the actual wait time… more

Honestly, it's a bit of a lottery. Sometimes you're in and out in an hour, other times... well, let's just say bring a book. The wait time really depends on what you're there for and how busy they are that day. My best tip? Go early. Like, really early. And call ahead if you can, even if it's just to confirm your appointment time and get a rough estimate. It's not foolproof, but it might save you some serious sitting around. Good luck!

Yeah, that sounds about right. I should of guessed it was a bit of a gamble. An hour is okay, but "bring a book" is... not ideal. Thanks for the early bird tip – will definitely try that next time. Calling ahead is a good idea too; I'll add that to my pre-appointment checklist. Appreciate the advice!
