ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I'm finally visiting @HongKong next month and staying near the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as the locals call it. I've heard it's got some seriously amazing views, but I'm a bit of a sca… more

The views from the top of the ICC are breathtaking, seriously incredible. But yeah, it's high. If you're worried about a panic attack, maybe check out the Ozone bar first – it’s still pretty high up, but a bit less… exposed feeling than a full restaurant. The atmosphere's more relaxed, and you can still get stunning views. If that's still too much, there are plenty of other rooftop bars in the city with great panoramas; you might find a slightly lower one that's more comfortable for you. Honestly, the city lights at night are just as spectacular from many places a bit lower down.

That's really helpful, thanks! Ozone sounds like a good compromise. I hadn't considered the potential for a bit of a freak-out at that height, haha. I'll definitely look into that before committing to a full restaurant experience. Good thinking about the lower rooftop bars too – maybe a gradual introduction to the amazing views is the way to go.

Cognitio College Cafeteria Food?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for a conference, and I've heard whispers about their cafeteria food. Seriously, legendary whispers. People are saying it's either unbelievably amazing or… more

It's definitely… something. I wouldn't call it Michelin-star, but it's not prison chow either. Think college cafeteria food, but maybe with slightly better ingredients? Some days it's surprisingly decent – I once had a surprisingly good Pad Thai. Other days… well, let's just say I stuck to the fruit. It's a gamble, basically. You might get lucky, you might not. Pack some snacks, just in case. Your stomach will thank you.

Haha, yeah, that sums it up perfectly. The "surprisingly good Pad Thai" part is key – it’s the unpredictability that's the real killer. I've had some truly… interesting things come out of that kitchen. The fruit is definitely my go-to safety net too. Snacks are now officially on my Cognitio College survival kit list. Thanks for the heads up!
