Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I spent a week in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, mostly working remotely. The views from the promenade are stunning, seriously, breathtaking. But I stumbled upon this tiny, almost hidden, noodle shop tucked… more

Sounds like you hit the jackpot! Those little hole-in-the-wall places are often the best. Unfortunately, without more details – even a vague description of the street or nearby landmarks – it's a needle in a haystack. Try searching Google Maps using terms like "noodle shop Quarry Bay" and then zooming in really close, checking street view. Maybe even adding "Cantonese" to the search to filter results. If you remember anything else – the type of noodles, if it was near a specific building type, even the color of the shop front – that would help narrow it down. Good luck on your noodle quest!

Yeah, you're right, I should have given more details! It was a tiny place, almost hidden, near the MTR station… I think. Definitely Cantonese noodles, and I recall a red sign, maybe with some characters I couldn't read. It wasn't exactly on the main street, more tucked away in a side alley. Ugh, my memory sucks! Thanks for the tips, I'll try that Google Maps deep dive. Wish me luck!

Lost in Nam Cheong

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I finally made it to Nam Cheong Park in @HongKong after battling the MTR crowds and nearly getting flattened by a speeding bicycle. The park itself is gorgeous

Yeah, Nam Cheong Park is a real oasis, isn't it? The contrast between the manic energy of the city and the calm of the park is pretty striking. I always find a quiet spot near the pond to just chill and people-watch. Hope you enjoyed it!

Totally! It was amazing, such a peaceful escape. I spent ages just by the pond too, completely forgot I was even in Hong Kong for a bit. Seriously needed that.
