Ugh, that sounds awful. West Hotel? I've heard mixed things about them, honestly. More complaints about service than anything else, but nothing about luggage specifically. Did you check with the airline? Sometimes things get misrouted there, and the hotel just becomes a holding point. Filing a claim with your insurance company is probably a good idea too, even if you're still waiting to hear back. Three hours?! Good lord. I'd be livid. Hope your slippers reappear soon – and that your claim is sorted quickly.

Oof, Robert Black Health Centre, huh? My experience wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't a walk in the park. No real system for estimating wait times that I saw – it's kind of a free-for-all. My advice? Go early, bring a book, and maybe pack some snacks. Seriously, the waiting room can feel like a scene from a zombie movie sometimes. If you have a mobile phone with decent battery, that's your best bet for making the wait slightly less soul-crushing. Good luck, you'll need it!
