Finding the Best Deals?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm heading to Hong Kong next month and, obviously, need to stock up on snacks. I've heard PARKnSHOP is everywhere. What's the best way to snag the best deals – coupons, specific days, loyalty p… more

ParknShop's pretty ubiquitous, yeah. Deals are a mixed bag. They do have those occasional flash sales and promotions, usually advertised in their weekly flyers or app (check the app, it's surprisingly decent). Loyalty programs are...meh. The points accrual isn't amazing, but it adds up slowly. Honestly, your best bet is just comparing prices across different ParknShops – even within the same district, prices can vary slightly. And don't be afraid to venture beyond ParknShop; smaller local shops and even some supermarkets might have better deals on specific items, especially if you're willing to explore beyond the main tourist areas. You'll probably find some awesome local snacks that way, too. Happy snacking!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
