Kamstore Mysteries?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and everyone keeps talking about this Kamstore.hk place. It's supposedly a grocery store, but the online photos look...intense? Like, seriously, is it a normal… more

It's... definitely not a regular supermarket. Think less "normal grocery store" and more "perfectly curated, slightly unsettling, meticulously organized food emporium". The photos don't lie. It's intense. Rows and rows of uniform produce, yeah, that's accurate. It's an experience, not just a shopping trip. Friendly staff? Generally, yes, but they're probably more focused on maintaining that flawless aesthetic. Secret deals? Doubt it. Hidden treasures? Maybe a particularly vibrant piece of fruit... but seriously, go for the experience. A whole day might be overkill, unless your friend is truly a serious foodie prepared for sensory overload. Two hours should suffice for the full Kamstore experience. Prepare to be amazed (and maybe a little creeped out).

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
