Check out the backstreets near the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. There are some seriously amazing little dai pai dongs tucked away there – think super cheap, delicious noodles and amazing local energy. You'll find yourself dodging delivery guys on scooters and chatting with folks who've lived there for decades. It's not "secret" in the sense it's unknown, but it's definitely off the beaten tourist track. Avoid the main drag – wander down the smaller side streets. You'll find stuff most tourists miss. Also, wander around the area near the Man Mo Temple – tons of hidden eateries around there.

Haha, yeah, Kamstore is a beast. I once spent 45 minutes looking for black sesame seeds. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. I swear, they stock everything imaginable, and then some things you can't even imagine.
