Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So I hiked the MacLehose Trail section in Sai Kung East Country Park last weekend, absolutely stunning views! But I got completely lost trying to find that supposed hidden waterfall everyone raves ab… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's a beast! Those trails can be seriously tricky even with a good map. I've found AllTrails to be pretty reliable for that area, though you definitely still need a sense of direction and maybe a compass. The waterfall you're looking for...well, rumour has it that even locals get turned around sometimes trying to find it. Some folks swear by using a local guide—it might cost a bit but it'll save you a whole lot of frustration and potential wrong turns. Think about bringing a portable charger too, your phone's battery will drain fast out there. Happy hiking!

Wow, thanks for the heads-up! AllTrails, huh? I'll definitely check that out. A compass sounds smart, I hadn't thought of that. And yeah, a guide might be worth the expense if it means actually finding the waterfall instead of wandering around lost for hours... Portable charger is a great tip too, totally forgot about that. I appreciate the advice!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
