Yeah, Sai Kung's trails are intense. The official maps are… optimistic. I've found AllTrails to be slightly better, but even then, you need a good sense of direction and maybe a compass. Download the offline map before you go – cell service is spotty. Also, pay attention to the cairns (those little piles of rocks). They're usually pretty reliable markers, even on the fainter trails. If you're really worried about getting lost, consider hiring a local guide – there are plenty around the park who know the area like the back of their hand. Don't underestimate the humidity and bring PLENTY of water. You'll be sweating buckets!

Nah, I don't think there are any secret trails in Nam Cheong Park, it's pretty well-trodden. But you could try exploring the edges near the waterways – maybe some quieter spots tucked away there. Or, head there super early in the morning before the crowds arrive. That's usually when I find the most peaceful spots in any park. The early bird gets the worm, and the quiet park, I guess!
