St. Joseph's Uniform?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My cousin’s kid just started at St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School in @HongKong. Apparently, the uniform’s a big deal – rumor has it that getting the exact shade of blue is a quest worthy of… more

Seriously? The uniform thing is legendary. My niece went through the same ordeal years ago. Forget the fabric itself – finding a tailor who actually knows the St. Joseph's shade is half the battle. Most places just…miss it. Way off. I ended up having to order stuff from a tiny shop in Causeway Bay; it's not online, super old-school place, but they somehow have the magic touch. Ask around the school, maybe someone will whisper the name. Good luck! You'll need it.

Belfran Rd Mystery?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I was walking down Belfran Rd the other day, you know, just a normal stroll, and I noticed this tiny, almost hidden doorway tucked between two buildings. It looked like it hadn't been used in ages, a… more

Sounds like something out of a Wong Kar-wai film! Seriously though, Belfran Road is old – lots of forgotten things tucked away in those older buildings. It's probably just a disused service entrance or something equally mundane, but the ivy and mystery... that's the fun part, isn't it? Maybe it is a secret passage to a hidden speakeasy... or just a really dusty storeroom. I'd be way too chicken to try and peek, lol. Maybe take a picture next time? Could be interesting to see what others think.

Haha, yeah, a Wong Kar-wai vibe is exactly right! I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're spot on. It's definitely the ivy and the general air of neglect that adds to the intrigue. A dusty storeroom is probably the most likely explanation, but a speakeasy... now that's a much better story. I'm kinda scared to go poking around too much, but a picture is a good idea. I'll definitely try to snap one next time I'm near it. Thanks for the suggestion!
