Yeah, the MacLehose Trail can be a bit... challenging when it comes to finding those off-the-beaten-path spots. The online guides are often outdated or just plain wrong. I'd recommend grabbing a proper hiking map from a local shop in Sai Kung town – they usually have much more detailed trails than you’ll find online. Also, maybe consider joining one of the organized hiking groups; they usually know the best routes and can navigate those less-than-obvious trails. It’ll save you some serious bushwhacking! Those waterfall pics are tempting, but safety first.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
