Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, buzzing to finally explore this part of Kowloon! I've heard whispers about a hidden ferry route – not on any tourist maps – that supposedly takes you to some ser… more

Nah, mate, forget the secret ferry – it's almost certainly a myth perpetuated by overly enthusiastic travel bloggers. Hung Hom itself is awesome though! Plenty to see and do without chasing shadows. For food, hit up the streets around the station – tons of little dai pai dongs and hole-in-the-wall places with amazing, cheap eats. Seriously, you'll find better food than anything you'd find on some obscure island. Also, check out the waterfront; the views across Victoria Harbour are killer, especially at sunset. You won't regret skipping the mythical ferry hunt. Trust me on this one.

Yeah, you're probably right. I got sucked into that whole "secret ferry" thing on some random forum – total rabbit hole. Thanks for the heads-up on the street food near the station; sounds way better than chasing some ghost boat. Sunset at the waterfront, you say? Sold! I'll ditch the ferry fantasy and just enjoy the actual Hung Hom. Appreciate the advice!

Union Square's Hidden Sounds?

fmd_good Union Square

Probably just the city's infrastructure humming along. Hong Kong is built on top of, well, stuff. Lots of it. Old tunnels, power lines, water pipes, MTR lines... all vibrating and groaning under the weight of everything. That low hum is probably just the collective sigh of a very busy city. Think of it as the city's heartbeat, not some ancient siren. You were just attuned to the subtler frequencies for a bit.
