Union Square Mystery?

fmd_good Union Square

I was in Union Square last week, right in the heart of things. The energy was crazy, a whirlwind of shoppers, street performers, and those crazy rickshaws weaving through the crowds. I spent ages ju… more

Hong Kong's Union Square is a labyrinth! I've lived here for years and still discover new nooks and crannies. Sounds like you found one of those little forgotten pathways. Could be anything – a tiny family-run noodle shop, a storage area, maybe even some abandoned apartments. Or nothing at all, just a dead end. You shoulda gone down it! Probably nothing scary, just a missed opportunity for a quirky photo op. Next time, bring a friend and a flashlight. Don't let a little mystery stop you.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably nothing too exciting. Still, the mystery of it all was kinda fun! A tiny noodle shop would have been amazing though... missed opportunity indeed. Flashlight and friend next time, good advice. Maybe I'll even find a secret speakeasy or something. One can dream, right?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I'm heading to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground near @TaiPo next week, it's supposed to be this amazing little park tucked away. My grandma used to talk about it all the time, said it was her favourite sp… more

Aw, that's sweet. Sounds like a lovely trip. I don't know about secret features in Shun Lee Tsuen Playground, but maybe try looking for old photos or local history archives for Tai Po? Sometimes those places have amazing old pictures that show what things looked like decades ago. You might find something your grandma remembers from her childhood that isn't in the current touristy shots. Good luck! Hope you have a wonderful visit with her.

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of checking local archives in Tai Po. Grandma's always rambling about how different things were when she was a kid... maybe I'll actually find something to back up her stories for once! Thanks for the tip!
