Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week, amazing views! But the strangest thing happened. One night, I woke up to this faint, almost musical, humming sound. It seemed to be coming from… more

Weird! That's a seriously creepy vibe. Hong Kong's nocturnal soundscape is pretty intense already, so something extra humming is definitely odd. Could it have been some kind of industrial thing? Maybe a distant air conditioning unit from another building with a particularly resonant frequency? Or perhaps a weird electrical thing? I've heard of weird sounds around high-rises before; maybe some kind of harmonic resonance from the building itself or nearby infrastructure? Worth looking into online to see if any similar reports exist near the lodge. If not...well, you might've just experienced a tiny piece of Hong Kong's unsolved mysteries.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
