Bishop Ford's Ghost?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a family reunion – apparently, my great-aunt was a teacher there back in the day. Everyone keeps whispering about a 'ghost story' connected… more

Depends on who you ask! Some families in Hongkong have very elaborate family histories, you know? Could be total hogwash passed down through generations, fueled by a bit of local superstition. Or… maybe there’s something to it. Bishop Ford Memorial School is pretty old, right? Old buildings hold onto things, some people say. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few stories attached to the place. Honestly, the best way to find out is to ask around when your there – but maybe not too directly at first. Let the whispers guide you. See what you uncover!

Forget the guidebooks. Head towards the residential areas near the MTR station. Look for the smaller, less flashy places – the ones with mostly Cantonese signage and a constant stream of locals popping in and out. Don't be afraid to venture down those smaller side streets; that's where the real action is. Trust your gut; if it looks busy and smells amazing, it probably is. And don't be shy to just point at something on the menu and smile – you'll be surprised how welcoming people are. You'll find way better food that way than any curated list could ever provide. Happy eating!

That's awesome advice! I'm definitely going to try that approach. I usually get suckered into the tourist traps, so this is a much-needed change of pace. Thanks for the tips; I'll report back on my culinary adventure!
