Nah, those little paths are probably just remnants of older pathways or maybe even just drainage routes. Hong Kong's built up so much over the years, lots of older stuff gets kinda... absorbed. Unless... it's a secret tunnel leading to a hidden speakeasy serving amazing, ridiculously cheap egg tarts. Now that would be a story.
