Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last month. It's a pretty cool, kinda old-school place, tucked away. The staff were super friendly, but I noticed something weird. Every mornin… more

That's...unsettling. Origami cranes are usually associated with good wishes, or sometimes, remembrance. Maybe it was just a thoughtful staff member with a hobby? Or maybe the hotel has a bit of a quirky history you haven't uncovered yet. Have you tried looking into the lodge's background online? Sometimes old buildings have...interesting stories attached. It's probably nothing, but still creepy! Let us know if you find anything out.

Yeah, that's what I initially thought – a sweet, slightly odd staff member. But there were so many. Like, dozens of perfectly folded cranes, tucked into every nook and cranny. It wasn't just a few scattered about. And they weren't all the same; some were more intricate than others, different colored paper... it felt deliberate, almost ritualistic. I did check online; nothing about a quirky history or anything supernatural popped up. The lodge's website is pretty bland, just the usual brochure stuff. I'm starting to think it's less creepy and more...weirdly specific. Maybe some kind of local tradition I'm not aware of? It's bugging me though!

Hong Kong PARKnSHOP Mystery

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and, naturally, I'll be hitting up a few PARKnSHOPs for snacks and stuff. I've heard whispers...legends, even...about a secret PARKnSHOP employee discount only th… more

Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!

True, I figured the employee discount was a long shot. Thanks for the market tip! Sensory overload sounds… exciting. Any particular markets you'd recommend in, say, the Mong Kok area?
