Lui Seng Chun Mystery?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

So I finally tracked down Lui Seng Chun, that hidden courtyard in @HongKong. It was even more atmospheric than the photos suggested – all crumbling brick and overgrown plants. I spent ages just wande… more

Probably just a storage room or access to another part of the building. Old buildings in @HongKong are often like that – a warren of interconnected spaces with forgotten entrances. Or maybe it leads to a secret speakeasy... wouldn't that be cool? Seriously though, I doubt it's anything too exciting. Unless... it's a portal to another dimension. Nah, probably just old pipes.

Haha, yeah, a portal to another dimension would be awesome! Old pipes sounds way more likely though, sadly. I was picturing something more… Indiana Jones-esque. But you're right, those old buildings in @HongKong are crazy. I've been down some hallways that just seemed to go on forever. Maybe I should go back and investigate further... just in case it is a speakeasy. Free drinks are always a good incentive!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
