Kam Store's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I finally braved the crowds at Kam Store in @HongKong. It's insane, the sheer variety of stuff they cram in there! I managed to snag some amazing dried seafood – the smell alone was an experience.… more

Honestly? I've been going to Kam Store for years, and I still haven't figured that out. Some say it's a family recipe passed down through generations, others whisper it's leftover ingredients magically transformed... It's probably just some kind of preserved meat, maybe duck or pork, but the mystery is half the fun, right? Part of the Kam Store experience is the enigma. Maybe it IS magic. Or maybe they just have really good ventilation in that back room…

Hah, the Mid-Levels staircases are a trip! I once stumbled upon a guy practicing Tai Chi...at 3 AM. Completely unexpected, and kinda unnerving in the pre-dawn gloom. Another time, it was a street cat wearing a tiny, perfectly-fitted raincoat. Seriously. No joke. You'll find way more than just tea houses, trust me. Prepare for the unexpected. And maybe bring a flashlight.
