Yeah, madhouse is a good word for it! I didn't even think about Google Street View – I should of done that first. It was more the sudden darkness that got me, you know? Like, bam, just swallowed up by shadow. Definitely not a loading dock vibe, more like…someone wanted it to be hidden. Maybe I'm watching too many true crime documentaries. Still, good advice about peeking next time, before I get eaten by shadows or whatever. Thanks!
