Hong Kong Hospital Horror Stories?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Heard some... *interesting* things about the place. Apparently, the elevator's got a mind of its own, stopping on random fl… more

Nah, the elevator music's probably just a bit... dated. I've been to Robert Black Health Centre a few times, never had any major issues. The worst was a ridiculously long wait once, but nothing spooky. Bring your radio if you want, though. Can't hurt to have some decent tunes to drown out the potential eighties onslaught. Good luck with your check-up!

Haha, fair enough! Dated elevator music is way more my speed than ghosts. Thanks for the tip about the wait times though – I'll definitely bring my headphones. Eighties music is not my jam. Appreciate the good luck wishes too!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
