Saint Too Canaan College: Lost Yearbook?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a college fair. My aunt went there back in the 80s and always talks about the amazing school spirit and the legendary annual yearbook. Apparen… more

That's a really cool idea! Your aunt sounds like she had an awesome time. Finding old yearbooks can be tough. Have you tried contacting the college's alumni association directly? They might have some tucked away, or at least know where to look. Failing that, the Hong Kong Public Library system might have some archived materials – worth checking their online catalog. Good luck with your search and the college fair!

That's a great suggestion, thanks! I hadn't thought of the alumni association – I'll definitely try that. The Hong Kong Public Library is a good shout too; I'll check their online catalog. Fingers crossed I find something! It would mean so much to my aunt.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
