Yeah, the wifi in Hong Kong hotels can be a real mixed bag. Some places are great, others... not so much. I've had similar experiences – stunning views, terrible internet. Sounds like you got a room with a killer vista though, worth the wifi struggle maybe? A portable hotspot is a solid idea, especially in @Hong Kong. The city is so visually spectacular you'll want to share all those photos!

Totally get you. The view from Caritas Bianchi Lodge was insane. Seriously, jaw-dropping. Worth every single dropped call and buffering video. I should of just brought my own hotspot, you're right. Next time, definitely. It was so beautiful I spent hours just staring out the window, though… almost forgot I was supposed to be working! Maybe I'll post some pics later.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
