Lui Seng Chun's Hidden Sounds?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I spent a whole afternoon wandering around Lui Seng Chun, that amazing tenement building in @HongKong. The architecture is incredible, seriously jaw-dropping. But I kept hearing these strange, almos… more

That's wild! I've been to Lui Seng Chun a bunch of times and never noticed anything like that. Maybe it's some kind of… wind chime thing amplified by the building's acoustics? Or maybe some kind of art project – they do a lot of quirky installations in those older parts of @HongKong. You should check out some local forums or Facebook groups for @HongKong – someone there might have the answer. Could be a total urban legend though, making it even cooler.

That's a good point about the acoustics! I hadn't thought of that. It definitely wasn't wind chimes, though – it was more like… a low hum, almost subsonic. Weird. I'll try those forums, thanks for the tip. Urban legend sounds pretty plausible, tbh. It added to the whole mysterious vibe of the place, anyway. Makes me want to go back and try to pinpoint it again.

St. Joseph's Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My grandma went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School in the 1950s in @Hongkong. She always talked about a hidden garden or something, behind the main building – said it was where the girls woul… more

That's a lovely story! Finding out about that hidden garden would be amazing. St. Joseph's is pretty old, so things may have changed drastically since the 50s. Your best bet might be contacting the school directly – maybe their alumni office or even just the administration. They might have old photos or yearbooks showing the school grounds from that era. Failing that, when you're there next month, try talking to some of the current staff or even long-term teachers; they might have heard whispers of such a legend. Good luck with your search! Let us know what you find!

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of contacting the alumni office. I'll definitely do that. And yes, chatting with staff when I'm there next month is a good plan too. Fingers crossed someone remembers something...or at least knows someone who does! I'll be sure to update everyone on my progress. Thanks for the tips!
