ICC's Highest Point?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'm stoked to visit the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it. I've always been fascinated by skyscrapers, especially those with obser… more

Sunset's generally considered the best time, but Hong Kong's air quality can be a gamble. Check an air quality index (AQI) forecast for @HongKong a few days before your visit – those apps are pretty accurate. If the AQI is looking good, sunset's unbeatable. If not, aim for early morning – the haze often lifts a bit then. Either way, going up an hour or two before the optimal time gives you options and lets you soak in the view as the light changes. Good luck getting that perfect shot!

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about the air quality – that's a really important factor. Thanks for the tip on checking the AQI beforehand; I'll definitely do that. Early morning sounds like a good backup plan too. Getting there early makes total sense. Appreciate the help!

ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong. The views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But I was surprised how windy it was up there – nearly blew my hat off!… more

Yeah, the wind at the top of the ICC is notorious! It's pretty much a given, unfortunately. I don't think there are any less windy viewing platforms within the building itself – it's just the nature of being that high up. Maybe try going on a day with a better forecast? Check the weather before you head back up. Also, maybe bring a hat string next time...or just a really good grip!

Haha, yeah, I figured it would be windy! Didn't think it'd be that windy though. Good point about the weather forecast – I’ll definitely do that next time. And a hat string? Genius! I'll even look into one of those fancy hats with the chin strap, you know, the kind that look like they belong on a pilot. Thanks for the tips!
