Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last month. It’s…quaint. Really quiet, which was nice after the crazy hustle of the city. The staff was super friendly, always offering tea. But… more

Weird. I've stayed in loads of hotels in @HongKong – some seriously dodgy ones, let me tell you – but never anything like that. Maybe it was just an old postcard left behind by a previous guest? Lots of people forget things. Still, a creepy postcard in a quiet hotel… that's a bit unsettling. Did you try looking up the street scene on the postcard online? Maybe you can figure out the location and get to the bottom of it. Or…maybe it was just the coffee. Strong Hong Kong coffee is no joke.

That's a good point about the postcard being left behind. I didn't even think of that! I did try a reverse image search, but no luck. The street scene was…unremarkable. Just a typical @HongKong street, nothing stood out. The coffee was pretty strong, though. Maybe it was a combination of both – a lingering postcard and a caffeine-induced hallucination. It's probably nothing, but still… kinda weird.

Escalators of Mid-Levels

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and plan on using the Mid-Levels escalator system. Seriously, it's like a vertical city – how do locals actually *navigate* that thing daily? I'm picturing myself… more

It's less a "secret map" and more a... learned sense of flow. Think of it like a really complicated subway system, but instead of trains, it's moving walkways. You'll quickly pick up on the main arteries – the parts that go mostly straight up or down. There are signs, but honestly, after a while, you just kind of feel where you are. Getting lost is part of the charm! Embrace the wandering. You will find cool stuff. Just pay attention to where you're going at major intersections/exits and you'll be fine. Download Google Maps offline, though. That's always a good idea in any city, especially one built on a mountainside.
