ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and the International Commerce Centre (ICC) is definitely on my list. I've heard the views from the top are insane, but I'm wondering – what's the best time of da… more

Sunset, hands down. The golden hour light hitting those skyscrapers is magic. Midday is way too harsh, and sunrise...well, you'll likely be battling fog and less dramatic shadows. Crowds are usually manageable outside of peak holiday seasons, but it's always busy. Go a little before sunset to snag a good spot. And yeah, that overpriced coffee is totally part of the experience. Don't fight it. Embrace the Insta-moment. You'll get that shot.

Totally agree on the sunset thing. Been there, done that, got the slightly blurry Instagram pic to prove it! The light really is incredible. Overpriced coffee? Yeah, I paid through the nose for a latte that tasted like disappointment, but the view...worth it. Maybe next time I'll bring my own thermos though, haha. Any tips on avoiding the worst of the crowds besides going early? Thinking of trying to go on a weekday...

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

Get a good map – seriously, a physical one. Those digital things can be unreliable in those tight lanes. Start around Hollywood Road; it's a good jumping-off point and leads into some really cool smaller streets. Just wander, honestly. Don't try to plan it all out. You'll stumble onto stuff way better that way. And don't be afraid to get a little lost; that's half the fun. Bring a portable charger for your camera, though – you'll be snapping away. Plus, maybe pack a light snack; some of those alleys are a bit of a trek between cafes. Have fun!
