St. Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard it's got this crazy history, supposedly built on some old burial grounds or something? Anyone know any good – o… more

Hah, Saint Too Canaan College! My aunt worked there for years – she's a history professor, actually. Never heard anything about burial grounds, but the old admin building? Apparently, it used to be a really creepy Victorian-era mansion. Lots of whispers about flickering lights and disembodied piano music late at night. Mostly harmless stuff, though. Think more eerie than terrifying. One time, a group of students swore they saw a shadowy figure in one of the unused classrooms… but they’d been pulling an all-nighter fueled by way too much coffee. So, you know… Honestly, the scariest thing about the campus is probably the exams. Good luck to your friend!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
