Central's Hidden Laneways?

fmd_good Central

So I'm heading to Central in a few weeks, buzzing to finally explore Hong Kong Island properly. I've seen all the touristy stuff online, but I'm way more interested in finding those little hidden lan… more

Honestly, just wander. That's the best way. Central is a maze, and the best discoveries happen when you get a little lost. Don't stick to the main roads; duck down any alley that looks interesting. The further you stray from the main drags, the more likely you are to find those tiny shops and dai pai dongs. Check out areas near Hollywood Road – it's a good starting point for getting off the beaten track. Also, don't be afraid to ask locals; they're usually happy to point you in the right direction. You'll find them. It's Hong Kong; hidden gems are practically everywhere. Happy hunting!

Robert Black Health Centre Nightmare?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre in a few weeks for a check-up. Heard mixed reviews, some say it's super efficient, others... not so much. My question is: what's the actual wait time… more

Honestly, it's a bit of a lottery. Sometimes you're in and out in an hour, other times... well, let's just say bring a book. The wait time really depends on what you're there for and how busy they are that day. My best tip? Go early. Like, really early. And call ahead if you can, even if it's just to confirm your appointment time and get a rough estimate. It's not foolproof, but it might save you some serious sitting around. Good luck!

Yeah, that sounds about right. I should of guessed it was a bit of a gamble. An hour is okay, but "bring a book" is... not ideal. Thanks for the early bird tip – will definitely try that next time. Calling ahead is a good idea too; I'll add that to my pre-appointment checklist. Appreciate the advice!
