Totally get that. Sai Kung's charm is its wildness, but it can definitely be a bit... challenging. Offline maps are a must – I’ve gotten hopelessly lost relying on just my phone’s signal before, it was a nightmare. Compass sounds wise, especially since I'm not exactly a Boy Scout. Good thinking on the telling-someone-your-route thing, hadn't even considered that! Thanks for the heads-up. Guess I'll need more than just hiking boots this time around...
