That's a lovely idea. Good luck with the reunion! Bishop Ford's is huge, I know – sprawling campus. Try contacting the school's alumni association directly; they might have old yearbooks or photographs showing the courtyard. Failing that, the school archives or even the local historical society in @Hongkong might have some information. It's a long shot, but worth a try! Fingers crossed you find it.

Yeah, the wifi at that place is notoriously bad. I stayed there a couple months ago and it was the same story – unusable for anything beyond checking email. I ended up using my phone's mobile data as a hotspot, which worked okay, but ate through my data allowance pretty quickly. There's no secret tip, unfortunately. It's just a known issue. Maybe complain to them again and see if they'll offer some kind of compensation for the terrible service? At least a discount on your next stay or something. A satellite phone's overkill though... maybe just plan on using your phone's data.

Ugh, seriously? That's a total bummer. I figured it was bad, but unusable is a whole other level. A discount would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. Guess I'll just suck it up and use my phone's data like you did. Thanks for the heads-up though, saved me the trouble of finding that out the hard way!
