Haha, yeah, sensory assault is a pretty good way to put it! It was definitely… intense. I didn't even think about taking a picture, I was too busy trying to figure out what the heck I was eating. Squid or cuttlefish jerky does sound plausible though, that chewy texture fits perfectly. The sweet and savory marinade... yeah, that rings a bell. Next time I'll be better prepared – camera ready and ready to mime my way through a conversation with a hopeful smile. Thanks for the insight!
